Amidst the Gailtal valley Alps, enjoying the favourable climate on the southern side of the Alps, the nearly 12 km long fjord-like lake Weissensee features a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere with countless lake views overlooking the turquoise water, an oasis for the soul.

Walking and hiking trails lead around the lake or nearly everywhere right from the shore (930 metres of altitude) to the gentle mountain world of the Nature Park lake Weissensee. “Hiking support” is provided by lake Weissensee cruises or the cable car. There are possibilities to rest right on the lake or on the serviced alpine cabins offering fish from lake Weissensee as well as regional delicacies.

Since every accommodation facility disposes of a private lake access, a jump into the 24-degree warm water of the lake is a must after a hike.
